PLAYER BEHAVIOR
- This is a collaborative role-playing game. That means you work together.
- Don't be a jerk. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
- Do not plagiarize.
- In-Character (IC) and Out-of-Character (OOC) should never overlap.
- Communication is important. Whether it's through email or a messenger of some sort, communicate with players. I don't mean talk at someone to get your way. I mean discuss and be mindful that the other person has feelings, ideas, and thoughts of their own. No one is a mind reader, even if they play them.
- With that said, if anyone is caught using RPVents, their Character Development Journal (CDJ), or anonymous comments to drag another player or their characters, you will be removed. You're not trying to resolve anything that way; you're stirring up drama.
- Godmodding (controlling a character who is not your own) is unacceptable.
- Metagaming (or having your character be privy to IC information you, as a player, have) is also unacceptable.
- RP Conflict is a source of fun, but it can also cause stress on players whether your character is right/wrong/somewhere in the middle. Make sure you communicate with players involved.
- If communication fails and you need the moderator to step in, know that I will ask for proof that you have spoken to one another. I cannot mediate without knowing what actually happened.
GENERAL RULES
- There is a ten (10) character limit.
- If you need to speak to the moderator, there is a Dropbox.
- However, please take player disputes (that cannot be handled between the players in question), complaints, or personal plots to my email or Discord. You will find that on the Player List.
- To hold a character in a fandom present in game, you MUST contact players BEFORE holding and wait 48 hours for them to reply. New players should use the New Player Contact Page. This includes love interests (current or former), enemies, or close friends or family members of the played characters.
- If you want to play an alternate version of a character, you MUST get permission from the original player even if their application says yes to alternates.
- While we allow villain characters, the villain character cannot be your first character without special consideration from the moderator.
- Villain characters, because of their antagonistic nature, will need to be vetted by canon mates first as well.
- Characters with redemptive arcs (particularly those at the END of their stories) are also subject to vetting by the fandom-mates.
- Canon puncturing is not allowed. Liberal doses of handwavium should be used for your character's pop culture knowledge. (There will be plots to stumble upon canon source material for those of you who enjoy canon puncturing!)
- If you have used a hiatus for two months in a row, you will not be allowed to hold a new character.
- If your hiatus is for longer than one week, please speak to the mod amount this.
- The moderators reserve the right to revoke a character who may not fit into the game due to things like extreme mental illness or violence (particularly violence against women such as sexual assault). This is usually determined by the players who are uncomfortable with the certain kinds of violence or illness coming in.
- We will allow holds for new media in the following way: TV shows, at least 3 episodes; Movies (and binge-shows) 2 weeks after its wide release date; books, 1 month.
- Three pieces of activity are required per month, per character.
- Activity is a netpost, ten back and forth interactions on the network (five comments for each character), or a log or thread of at least 400 words from each character involved.
- People have various triggers. They are not always the same as yours. Please be respectful of your fellow players. Trigger warnings should be used on all posts or comment threads that have sensitive topics on them.
- Do not argue when someone tells you that something has triggered them. Arguing will get you a warning; this situation calls for an apology and steering clear of that topic with that player.

- If you are looking to pick up a character that you dropped recently, you will need to wait two weeks between when you dropped the character and when you can pick them back up again. You will also need to get permission from your fandom mates and any close lines you formed during the time you were in game.
